One of a Kind CE Course

New Dentist Boost Camp 3 is slated to be a one of a kind CE course for for students, residents and new dentists with less than five years in private practice.

We will focus on practical and actionable CE that will help a young dentist in school, residency or practice. This is the type of “stuff” that dental school ignores and is what truly determines your success and dental happiness level. You could spend years doing the “trial and error” thing or trying to pick the brains of multiple dentists OR you can invest in yourself and develop core dental muscles that you will need for your entire career. It’s never too early to incorporate truly useful tips and techniques since you are going to be doing these things tens of thousands of times.

The 3 Pillars For Success

There are 3 components of every dentist that will determine their success in order of importance.

MIND

Dental decision making

WORDS

The words that you say to your patients, team and fellow dentists

HANDS

Executing procedures Dental school focuses HANDS and a little on the MIND leaving the WORDS out of the dentist to the side.

Small for a reason

Limited to 20 Live Attendees

New Dentist Boost Camp 2 is deliberately being kept SMALL for MAXIMUM benefit for the 20 attendees, and the Livestream Pass holders. We want to create an interactive environment where you’ll be able to ask questions and dive deeper into topics when necessary. Not to mention, make potentially lifelong friends

WORDS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART.

In addition to the MIND-WORDS-HANDS trifecta, we will infuse business, practice management and leadership principles that are essential to lead a team. We’ll also cover, the often neglected fact, that taking care of yourself along the way is extremely important.

Meet Your Instructors

Dr. Paul Goodman

While chief dental resident during his general practice residency and hospital fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Dr. Goodman received advanced training and also placed and restored 150 dental implants. He has been a faculty member for Hiossen Dental Implant Training Program for the past 10 years and has helped over 100 general dentists place their first dental implants. Additionally, he teaches dental residents at Albert Einstein Medical Center lecturing to dentists on placing and restoring implants.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Goodman has been practicing dentistry for over 10 years and works with his brother in two locations in Mercer County, NJ. Dr. Goodman has purchased three dental practices and shares his personal experience with retiring dentists in managing the expectations of their patients and team members during the transition process. He is the founder of Rising Dentists Study Club and Rittenhouse Consulting, LLC – both in Philadelphia.

Dr. Todd Fleischman

From diagnosing small cavities to complex, full mouth restorations, Dr. Todd Fleischman focuses on a patient centered, relationship based approach to achieving healthy mouths and beautiful smiles. He has learned that the best way to treat a patient is to listen, with time in his care beginning with a conversation about their expectations. He emphasizes the use of the latest technology and techniques in a state-of-the-art practice setting with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Todd encourages a hassle-free, no pressure environment.

“I truly believe that honesty and predictability are the keys to providing my patients with comfortable, personalized dental care. By spending the dedicated time we need to educate and inform, our experienced and knowledgeable office team develops customized treatment plans based upon a patient’s wants and needs. This style of care is the way I always envisioned my ideal practice, giving us the ability to truly show our patients what we love to do.”

Dr. Fleischman received his undergraduate education from New York University, completing his studies with a bachelor of arts in psychology. Upon leaving Manhattan he settled in Center City Philadelphia, graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry with his doctoral degree. Beginning to establish his roots in southeastern Pennsylvania, Dr. Fleischman completed his post-graduate Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is an avid student of comprehensive, evidence based continuing education including the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ and the Kois Center in Seattle, WA. He is the owner of a private, fee-for-service restorative practice in the Rittenhouse Square area of Center City Philadelphia.

Robert Montgomery

Rob founded his law firm, and has been serving the individualized legal and business needs of dentists, dental practices and dental service organizations for over 20 years. Rob has worked on hundreds of dental deals, ranging from practice start-ups to complex practice acquisitions involving multistate practice locations.

Rob focuses his practice on the legal and business needs of his dental clients, advising on the formation of business entities, practice start-ups and lease negotiations, buy-ins, partnership agreements, practice acquisitions and sales, employment matters, forming and structuring dental service organizations, operational issues, financing, real estate sales and acquisitions, general corporate and business matters, as well as non-compete litigation, partnership litigation, real estate litigation and other general litigation. Rob practices primarily out of the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Rob regularly lectures to a variety of dental audiences, including dental associations, study groups, dental students, and residents. Rob is a frequent speaker for Ideal Practices, a highly regarded national dental practice start-up consulting firm.

Dr. Carl Steinberg

After attending Temple University for only three years he was accepted into their School of Dentistry. In 1980 he received his Doctorate Degree in Dental Surgery. Dr. Steinberg’s formal training continued with post-graduate education at West Jersey Hospital’s residency program. Upon completion of the program he entered private practice settling in Center City, Philadelphia. For the next sixteen years Dr. Steinberg was a clinical instructor at the residency program helping the students understand the importance of the interrelationship of the dentistry they were learning and the people they were treating.

Dr. Steinberg’s continual association with education exhibits a commitment to the ideal of being a perpetual student. A philosophy of ‘everyone is my teacher, I can learn from everyone’ is true when he is the student listening to others or the instructor being challenged by his students. Dr. Steinberg has taught in the postgraduate residency program at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He lectures and interactively works with the students in developing their skills in understanding complex reconstructive cosmetic cases and patients with TMJ and occlusal dysfunction.

Dental Sleep Medicine has become another topic of presentation. Dr. Steinberg instructs and works with Sleep Medicine professionals on the use and efficiency of oral appliance therapy for the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. He has been requested for radio interviews as well as authoring dental articles.

In 1997, the Academy of General Dentistry (www.AGD.org) honored Dr. Steinberg with their prestigious Mastership Degree. In attaining Mastership, Dr. Steinberg has met the highest criteria of excellence by taking 1100 hours of continuing education in the sixteen disciplines of dentistry. Approximately 1% of practicing dentists have achieved Mastership. In 2013, Dr. Steinberg was presented with the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition award from the Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, there are only 300 other dentists in the country who have received this award.

Dr. Mark Costes

Dr. Mark Costes is far from a typical dentist and dental coach. During his career, he has been able to start or acquire over a dozen successful dental practices during some of the profession’s most challenging times. Dr. Costes’s journey has not come without its setbacks. In fact, he credits much of his success to the fact that he made more mistakes in his first year of private practice ownership than most dentists make in an entire career. What separated him from the masses, however, was the fact that he viewed each failure and roadblock as a learning experience and an opportunity to improve his business and life. This philosophy, as well as his decision to model the world’s most successful business owners, has led him to where he is today.

Dr. Costes is founder of the Dental Success Institute, a company committed to helping dentists achieve their full potential, while recapturing their passion for dentistry. He is also the founder of the Horizon Schools of Dental Assisting which has experienced explosive growth and has expanded to over one hundred and eighty locations throughout the United States. He is the co-founder and CEO of the Dental Success Network. Dr. Costes is the International and #1 Amazon Best Selling Author of the book Pillars of Dental Success. His podcast, The Dentalpreneur Podcast now has listenership from over 130 countries worldwide.

Dr. M. Alexandre Cho

Not only does Dr. Cho rigorously pursue post graduate training, he teaches and publishes as well. Dr. Cho received his DDS from the Northwestern University Dental School. He continued his advanced dental education by obtaining a post graduate specialty certificate in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. Dr. Cho is currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Since 2011, Dr. Cho has been recognized as Top Dentist by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals. And in March, 2013, he earned the highly coveted Certificates of Diplomate & Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Will this be worth it?

Yes, when you attend New Dentist Boost Camp 3, you’ll receive approximately 18-20 hours of content focused on the MIND-WORDS-HANDS trifecta, as well as business, practice management and leadership principles that are essential to lead a team. The live course is located at Industrious at 230 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.  The main entrance to the building that Industrious is in is on Locust Street, just off the northwest corner of Broad Street; it is slightly set back.

I've been practicing for 6+ years. Can I still attend?

Short answer: yes. Longer answer: yes, however we’ve specifically tailored the content to be most impactful for dental students and dentists in the first 5 years of their careers as we want to be able to instill this wisdom early on in one’s career. As long as you attend with an open mind this course has the potential to positively impact a dentist with 6+ years of experience.

Will I be able to interact with Dr. Paul & the other instructors?

Yes! This is one of the reason why we’ve decided to limit the number of attendees to 20. This is a round-table format, and we want this to be a highly interactive course so you can get the most benefit from your investment. We’ve also scheduled events where you’ll be able to interact with the rest of the attendees, Dr. Paul & the other instructors outside of the class room.

Will Livestream Pass holders be able to interact with Dr. Paul & the other instructors?

Yes! Although the live event attendees will have first access to Dr. Paul and the other instructors, if time permits, we will “open up the floor” to the livestream attendees with any questions they might have.

How do I access the live stream?

You will receive an email with instructions on how to Live Stream this event remotely with an internet connection. A live stream purchase will give you access to view the live instructional in real time, through zoom.us.

Is ``continuing education`` REALLY continuing education if you're still in dental school?

This is a common question we hear from dental students, and we totally get it. Many think CE’s are above their heads or too burdensome to take on in addition to the typical dental school curriculum. But let’s be real, all dental school curriculums lack SOMETHING, and most dental students have more free time than we let ourselves believe. So instead of sitting back and complaining, now the time do something about it! So yes, attending New Dentist Boost Camp absolutely is “continuing education” as you’ll be learning about topics that aren’t covered in most (any?) dental school. Most dentists will tell you “what you’re doing is really smart. I wish I did CE when I was in dental school.”.

Do I get CE credit for attending?

Yes! You will receive a certificate of completion for this course and you’ll receive approximately 14 hours of CE for your attendance.
