Dr. Maggie W. Augustyn

Dr. Maggie W. Augustyn

Dr. Maggie W. Augustyn is a practicing general dentist. She completed her formal dental education earning a doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to that, she was awarded two Bachelor’s degrees (UIC and Benedictine University) and a prestigious University Scholar achievement from Benedicine University. She furthered her education and completed the course sequence at the renowned Dawson Academy’s continuum in oral equilibration and cosmetic dentistry. She is an author having been published in Dentistry Today, Dental Economics, and many more. Her Dentistry Today articles made it to the top 10 blogs of 2020 a total of three times. She has been voted “America’s Best Dentist” and “America’s Top Dentists” based on superior training, experience, continuing education, and commitment to excellence. Her recent accolade includes the Rising Star Award from Benedictine University presented to an alumnus who has made considerable strides in their career and has demonstrated dedication to philanthropic endeavors. She’s also a moderator of “Dental Nachos” with 30,000 dental professionals.

Dr. Augustyn has recently been inducted into Female Founder Collective, which is a network of businesses led by women, supporting women. Its’ mission is to enable and empower female-owned and led businesses to positively impact our communities, both socially and economically. Dr. Maggie’s hobbies include volunteerism, art projects of any kind, and non-fiction reading/writing. “My favorite thing to do is to just be a mom, in a team with my husband. My mantra is Life Is Good. Not all the time and … sometimes you might have to look for it, but most of the time, Life Is Good.” She resides in Lombard with her husband Scott and daughter Ally.

Dr. Laura Brenner graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2001 and moved to Denver to establish her dental roots. She worked in private practice for 10 years until burnout forced her to leave clinical dentistry behind for good. As the author of the Lolabees blog and “10 Reasons Your Dentist Probably Hates You Too,” she began connecting with other dentists from around the world who wanted more from their careers. This work inspired her to become a Certified Professional Coach who is passionate about helping dentists design their lives and careers to find joy again.

Dr. Lewis Chen

Dr. Lewis Chen

Dr. Lewis Chen is born and bred in New York. He hails from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and currently practices as a general dentist primarily in Fort Lee, NJ and serves as a managing partner at two other dental practices. After graduation, he completed two years of GPR at Bronx VA, an affiliate of Mount Sinai, where he focused on expanding the breadth of his clinical skills in full-mouth rehabilitations, cosmetics, and implants. 

His drive stems from his desire to inspire others to “ready, fire, aim”. He hopes to achieve this through speaking, lecturing, and giving back to the community. Now, he spends his time both in NJ and NY for work and because of his infatuation with the “city that never sleeps.”

Dr. Matt Costa is a 2008 graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. He maintains a full time private practice in Quarryville, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Lancaster County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. Dr. Costa centers his practice around aesthetic restorative dentistry with an emphasis on bonded restorations.

Dr. Marcus Cowan

Dr. Marcus Cowan

Marcus Cowan is a general dentist from Lithonia, GA. He attended dental school at the Dental College of GA (formerly known as the Medical College of GA) in Augusta, GA. After dental school, Dr. Cowan completed a 2 year GPR at the same institution. The GPR program taught comprehensive dentistry, with an emphasis on surgical, implant, & sedation dentistry.

Dr. Cowan has been published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry & has attained his fellowship in the International College of Oral Implantologists. He currently practices in Athens, GA.

Dr. Todd Fleischman

Dr. Todd Fleischman received his undergraduate education from NYU with a degree in psychology followed by his doctoral dental degree at Temple University.  He completed a post-graduate AEGD residency program with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  Dr. Fleischman is an advocate for continuing education and has studied numerous dental curriculums including SPEAR Education in Scottsdale, Arizona and the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.  Since September of 2010 he has run a fee-for-service, general dental practice in the Rittenhouse Square area of Center City Philadelphia focusing on comprehensive and cosmetic care.

Dr. Paul Goodman

Dr. Paul Goodman is a practicing general dentist and the managing partner of a group practice with two locations along with his brother, Jeffrey, in Mercer County, NJ. Over the past ten years, Dr. Goodman has acquired three dental practices and has transformed his father’s general practice into a dental group that employs multiple general dentists,  specialists, and over twenty team members in two locations. 

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2002, Dr. Goodman pursued additional training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.   During his general practice residency and hospital fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Dr. Goodman had the fortunate opportunity to learn how to place and restore dental implants.  Dr. Paul Goodman is also known as Dr. Nacho.  Founder of the Dental Nachos Facebook group dedicated to helping dentists and teams increase their success, happiness and most of all, have more fun dentisting.

Dr. Stephanie Mapp

Dr. Stephanie Mapp

Dr. Stephanie Mapp has 25 years of real world dental experience as well as continuing education. Her very successful dental start up is still going strong after 17 years. For five and a half years she also owned a second office in a very affluent Florida coastal community. She has spent the last few years developing a system to evaluate PPO insurance plans and managing the challenges of the changing dental insurance landscape. 

Dr. Mapp attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry after only three years of undergraduate

education in the Psychology Department. She spent eight years as an associate working in several cities in Florida and experienced many types of dental practices. She worked in seven different types of dental offices which included all ranges of socioeconomic backgrounds from public health to boutique FFS offices. Her experience also presented her with exposure to many types of management systems. Having been both an associate dentist and hiring associate dentists, she has a unique perspective on how to be an employee as well as an owner.

Dr. Mitchell Rubinstein

Dr. Mitchell Rubinstein

Mitchell Rubinstein D.M.D. practices general dentistry in New York City. He is the Education Director for the New York County Dental Society, and chairs the Technology Committee for the New York State Dental Association. He also serves on the Standards Committee for the American Dental Association.

He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1992. He served as the dental director for the PSCH Clinic in Queens, NY providing dental care to people with developmental disabilities and Autism. From 1994-1996, he partnered with the NYU Dental School to give residents and students valuable clinical training in special care dentistry. In 1996, he went into private practice full time with his father and mentor, Dr Walter Rubinstein, and they practiced together until the senior Dr. Rubinstein’s retirement in 2012
Dr Rubinstein is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, and serves on the research faculty of the University of Rochester’s Eastman Dental Institute.

Robert W. Slauch, DDS, MDSc, FACP is a surgically trained board-certified prosthodontist. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Slauch provides quality restorative patient treatment including placement of dental implants as well as complete smile makeover solutions utilizing the All-on-4/6 treatment concept and his practice’s trademarked Teeth in a Day® immediate load protocol. He also provides esthetic crowns, bridges, veneers and state-of-the-art digital dentures. Dr. Slauch maintains a full-time private practice schedule in two offices (Pi Dental Center in Fort Washington, PA and Pennington Dental Associates in Pennington, NJ). He is also Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Restorative Sciences at UPenn School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Slauch is a native of the Philadelphia area. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, where he also played baseball. He earned his DDS from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics, Dental Implant Surgery, and a Masters Degree from the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Dr. Arthur Volker

Dr. Arthur Volker

A New York native, Dr. Volker graduated from Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery, and completed a General Practice Residency at the New York Hospital of Queens. He was an attending at Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility, and is in private practice in Sunnyside, New York.

Dr. Volker has published articles and lectures internationally on topics such as direct composite, minimally invasive dentistry, and dental materials. He is a Key Opinion Leader for several dental manufacturers, and has been involved in the testing and development of dental products and materials.

Dr. Jeff Horowitz

Dr. Jeff Horowitz completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and earned his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After completing a GPR at the Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J., Dr Horowitz founded the Carolina Center for Advanced Dentistry, a multi-disciplinary group practice with two locations  in the Myrtle Beach, S.C. area. He is also the founder and clinical director for Advanced Sleep and TMJ Centers.  His main interests include cosmetic smile and bite rehabilitation, complex restorative cases, treatment of sleep disordered breathing,  orthodontics and temporo-mandibular disorders.

Dr Horowitz is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry where he has served as a past-president for South Carolina and on the national Dental Education Council. Dr Horowitz also serves as a mentor and past scientific advisor at the Kois Center in Seattle,  a clinical instructor for Sleep Group Solutions, and global faculty for Align/Itero.  His affiliations include the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy holding dual-diplomate status, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, the Piper Study Club, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and the Wellness Dentistry Network. Dr. Horowitz lectures internationally, has been published in dental literature, has contributed to many television news media reports and most recently, ,co-founded Dentists In The Know, an informational social media platform.

Dr. Laura Mach

Dr Laura Mach is a general dentist, life coach, podcaster and speaker. Her work in the dental industry assists dentists to reduce the number of days they want to cry inside through life coaching tools that show humans what their brain is doing and how to create peace versus stress. She leads a mastermind of women practice owners through all the feels that come with owning and leading a dental practice, helping students achieve greater satisfaction in their practices and in their lives.  In this way, all the nachos, both dental and personal, can be enjoyed to their utmost.
